What is roleplaying?
Roleplaying is taking the role of someone else- a book character, a real person, a made up person, etc- and acting with them in a number of different places by posting in different topics. For instance, if the theme of the roleplay is Harry Potter, I could be the Weasleys' younger sister, Clem Weasley, who obviously doesn't exist in the book because I made her up. Roleplays can be based on books, movies or they can just be roleplays where you completely make up the themes and plot lines, such as in a "Town" roleplay or a "Magic" roleplay. How do I roleplay?
Well, first of all, there's no chatspeak. Chatspeak is only for the chatbox and I'll tolerate it in the normal forums, but definitely not in the roleplay forums. Second, and this kind of follows the first, you must use quotation marks when you're talking. Also, don't have separate posts where you say, "I sit down." then, "I start reading." then, "I get up," it would be counted as spamming. If you're in a hurry and you want to write something down, I'll understand, but don't do it all the time.
Let's say the roleplayer's roles are Sarah and Emily. They're in a library. Here's an example of an incorrect roleplay-spaces infer post separations:
See how it makes it much more interesting and easier to read?
When can I start roleplaying?
As soon as I get some roleplaying boards up, you can PM the administration account, Administration, and tell them you're ready to try out for roleplaying. I do this simply because I've had some problems with bad roleplayers in the past. They'll tell you your name, situation, place and other details. You'll send your post back to Administration, and they'll tell you whether you can roleplay or not. If you can't, you get as many second chances as you want, don't worry! If you'd like, you can apply now, so you can immediately start roleplaying as soon as the boards are up. Be sure to read the rules of that roleplaying board before you begin roleplaying.

Here's an example of a correct roleplay- same as above:Sarah: Hey *sits on edge of chair*
Emily: wuzzup?
Sarah: NM, u? *rifles through a random book*
Sarah: "Hey," I say, sitting down on the edge of a chair.
Emily: "What's up?" I say to Sarah.
Sarah: "Nothing much, you?" I say, rifling through a random book that's on the seat.
